The Te Araroa, also known as “The Long Pathway,” is New Zealand’s and the world’s newest long trail. It opened on December 3, 2011 and measures approximately 3000 kilometers, or approcimately 1864.1 miles from it’s Northern terminus at Cape Regina to it’s Southern terminus at Bluff. The Te Araroa winds down the coastline, through exotic forests, across farmland, over volcanoes and through mountain passes, along rich flowing river valleys and on lush green pathways through seven vibrant New Zealand cities.
